RESTORATIONS/FILLINGS

A composite (tooth coloured) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling.

CROWNS (CAPS)

A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. If your tooth has a large filling, is fractured or has had a root canal it may require a crown to strengthen and protect it. Porcelain crowns are the most popular because they are tooth coloured and resemble your natural teeth.

BRIDGES

A bridge is a permanent dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It is typically made up of an artificial tooth that is anchored by crowned teeth on either side. A bridge is typically made up of porcelain (tooth coloured) material.

EXTRACTIONS

Trauma, illness, extensive decay, or overcrowding all often lead to a tooth extraction. Sometimes your baby teeth don’t fall out in time to make space for your permanent teeth or your orthodontist recommends an extraction before starting orthodontic treatment. A bad tooth can cause major damage if left in your mouth, and we can easily prevent that from happening.

ROOT CANALS (ENDODONTIC TREATMENT)

When decay/bacteria enter the nerve chamber (pulp) of your tooth through deep cavities, cracks, or failed fillings, your tooth can become infected. An abscessed tooth can cause severe pain and/or swelling. In this case, the infected nerve/pulp of the tooth needs to be removed and the internal canals sealed and filled.
